"We didn't want a showplace lodge - we wanted something with the feel of a mountain cabin. Timberpeg executed perfectly on our package, and the quality is superb."

We will work with you to develop a plan that the designers and craftsmen at Timberpeg then create into a package of integrated materials that is shipped to your building site for construction of a new timber framed home. The timber frame is a critical starting point in the design process. We can work with existing Timberpeg designs “as-is”, modify one of these plans to be larger or smaller, or start from scratch to develop a completely new custom design for your home. Whether your project is a small addition to an existing home, a new home, a barn structure or commercial building, we work with you to create a new timber framed structure that is uniquely beautiful, energy-efficient and highlights your creative vision.
Read more about Timberpeg.
Once you have approved of the design of your new home, Timberpeg will craft the timber frame and order the related materials necessary to enclose the frame and schedule a ship date for this “shell package”. Sierra Nevada Post & Beam will work with local contractors and provide technical assistance to the crew during the frame raising so it is erected in a safe and efficient manner that adheres to the final plans provided by Timberpeg. We continue to be available throughout the construction process to be the liaison between the design professionals at Timberpeg and you.
Please take a moment to view some of the projects I have had the pleasure of working on in the past. If you would like more information about some of the photos shown here, including information on how to incorporate timber framing in your next project,
please do not hesitate to contact me.

At 2,890 square feet, plus a 435 square foot suite above the garage, this home provides the room necessary for a large, modern family. The spacious, U-shaped kitchen provides a layout sure to keep a serious home cook happy. It features a large island in the center, which can also be used for bar seating if desired. The kitchen opens onto the living room and the immediately adjoining dining room. This open layout is magnificent when hosting large parties. The bumped-out dining room allows for 180-degree views, including those to Donner Lake and the Sierra Nevada range. A screened porch off of the dining room allows for a bug-free outdoor dining experience in temperate weather and connects to a covered porch off of the expansive living room. Anchored by an impressive fieldstone fireplace, the living room is a welcome respite in cold weather and grand entertaining space year-round.
The first floor master suite provides convenience without sacrificing privacy. You enter the master suite through a short hall providing office space and a laundry room, which buffers the master bedroom from the rest of the house. The bedroom offers views of the lake and a private balcony. The luxurious master bathroom features a dual vanity and separate shower and bathtub.
If you proceed upstairs, a choice awaits you halfway up. To the left, you will enter a guest suite above the garage separate from the other upstairs rooms. This generous space has its own bathroom, and would make a perfect suite for guests or older children. Taking the other staircase, you arrive on a loft and balcony overlooking the living space below. There are two bedrooms here, with a shared bathroom, which has direct access from one of the bedrooms. In this build, the walkout basement also allows for additional bedrooms and living space. You can actually take a virtual tour of a home with the same floor plan home by watching the video here. There have been many different versions built that were based on this floor plan including several hybrid timber frame homes, which means that only part of the home was timber framed. Feel free to leave a comment and let us know. Too big, or just right? Either way, if this plan has you thinking about your own ideal post and beam floor plan, contact us to get started on your own custom home plan.
